Common use of Authorised Officer Clause in Contracts

Authorised Officer. Each party will be entitled to assume, in the absence of any knowledge to the contrary, that any Confirmation, notice or other written communication, which is issued in respect of this Agreement and which is purported to be signed on behalf of another party by a person specified in the certificate provided by that other party under Part 3(b), is authorised by that other party.
