Billing Commencement Date. The fees and charges for the Service(s) begin to accrue on the Billing Commencement Date. If we install a Service, the Billing Commencement Date is the day of installation. If you are an Internet Customer and self-install a cable modem that we have shipped to you, the Billing Commencement Date is the earlier of (i) the day you install the cable modem or (ii) five (5) days after the shipment date. If you self-install a cable modem that you obtained from a third party, the Billing Commencement Date is the day your order for Service(s) is entered into our systems.

If Metroplex installs your Services, the Billing Commencement Date is the day of installation. If you self-install Metroplex Equipment or Purchased Equipment that we have provided to you, the Billing Commencement Date is the earlier of (i) the day you install, or pick up from a Metroplex office or employee, such equipment, or (ii) 5 days after the shipment date. If you self-install a multimedia terminal adapter (“MTA”) or broadband modem that you obtained from a source other than Metroplex, the Billing Commencement Date is the day your order for Services is entered into our systems. The option to self-install an MTA or broadband modem or to use a non-Metroplex-supplied MTA or broadband modem is subject to availability.
Billing Commencement Date. Cyxtera will deliver notice to Customer when the Service has been installed and is available for use by Customer. Unless otherwise set forth in Section 3.b, the BCD for the Service (other than professional Services) is the earlier to occur of the date (i) of delivery of such notice by Cyxtera to Customer and (ii) that Customer begins to use such Service. For professional Services, unless otherwise specified in the Service Order, Statement of Work or on the Portal, the BCD shall be the date Cyxtera begins performing the professional Services.
