Education Association. B. The Employer agrees not to negotiate with or recognize any teachers’ organization or Union other than WC-MEA/NEA for the duration of this Agreement.
Education Association. In conjunction with the Special Education Services Agreement entered into between School District (“Local Districts”) and the Kent Intermediate School District (“Kent ISD”), effective August 1, 2004, the Education Association (“Association”) and the Kent ISD agree to the following:

Virtual Instruction Compensation The State College Area School District online learning program as it currently is delivered includes Driver’s Education, Health, and Physical Education. This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) addresses the compensation provided to teachers assigned to these programs outside of their assigned classes. Each of the provisions in this policy applies to all professional personnel to the extent that it does not conflict with an applicable collective bargaining agreement or individual employment contract or benefit plan; in the event of a conflict, such provision is severable and the applicable bargaining agreement or individual agreement will control. The use of paid sick leave for adoption or placement for adoption is limited to 30 days unless a longer leave is provided in an applicable collective bargaining agreement. The Superintendent may require that the employee provide evidence that the formal adoption process is underway.

RETIRED TEACHER – Whenever the term “retired teacher” is used, it shall refer to all teachers as defined in Section G above who also have (1) terminated their employment for purposes of retirement under the Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePers) and (2) have subsequently been rehired and returned to service as a teacher in M.S.A.D. No. 1.
