Eligibility for Preference. A business seeking to elect the Section 3 Contracting Preference must apply for certification as a Section 3 Business prior to, or at the time of submission of bids, quotes, or proposals. By electing a Section 3 Contracting Preference, a business will receive a competitive edge over a non-Section 3 Business. A Section 3 Business Status & Preference Request form is included in each bid package, and can also be obtained from the HACS Business Office.
Eligibility for Preference. A Section 3 resident seeking the preference in training and employment provided by this part shall certify, or submit evidence to the recipient contractor or subcontractor, if requested, that the person is a Section 3 resident, as defined in Sec. 135.5 (An example of evidence of eligibility for the preference is evidence of receipt of public assistance, or evidence of participation in a public assistance program.)

  • Eligibility for Pay An employee granted military leave for emergency National Guard duty is entitled to receive regular University pay for a period not to exceed thirty (30) calendar days in any one (1) fiscal year.
