Health Coverage For the duration of the leave required under this policy, not to exceed twelve (12) weeks, the Board will maintain the employee’s health coverage under any group health plan at the same level and under the same conditions as if the employee had continued to work. Any employee contributions to the health plan must be maintained during the leave to maintain coverage.
Employee and Family Assistance Program (a) A province-wide Employee and Family Assistance Program for employees and members of their immediate family, with whom the employee normally resides, shall be provided.
Retiree Health Insurance Retired members of the Department receiving, or to receive City of Lincoln monthly pension checks, may participate in the group comprehensive health care plan for active City employees, provided that each retiree so desiring will execute the required forms in a timely fashion, and further provided that each retiree will be required to pay the full monthly cost at the current rates subject to any rate increases which may occur from time to time. Such payment will be made by payroll deduction from pension checks, or by direct payment in the case of an early retiree.
Employment Insurance Employment insurance coverage will be provided during the life of this agreement for regular and auxiliary employees who would, if employed by a private employer, be eligible for such coverage under the provisions of the Employment Insurance Act.
