Form of Change Order. The content of a written Change Order -------------------- shall recite the alteration of the Work and the amount of adjustments to the Project Variables, if any, and schedule for payment thereof. In order for any Change Order under this Section 12 to be valid, it must be in the form of Exhibit I, be complete and be approved by Owner and, subject to Section 12.4.6(a), the Independent Engineer, such approval to be evidenced by Owner's signature thereon. Owner and Contractor shall approve and sign any Change Order that provides an adjustment to the Project Variables to which Contractor is entitled pursuant to Section 11 hereof. No adjustment to the Project Variables shall be effective unless included in a Change Order complying with the requirements of this Section 12.4.5 or in an amendment complying with the requirements of Section 16.19 hereof.
