Measured Internet Traffic. Dial-up, switched Internet Traffic originated by a Customer of one Party on that Party’s network at a point in a Verizon local calling area, and delivered to a Customer or an Internet Service Provider served by the other Party, on that other Party’s network at a point in the same Verizon local calling area. Verizon local calling areas shall be as defined by Verizon. For the purposes of this definition, a Verizon local calling area includes a Verizon non-optional Extended Local Calling Scope Arrangement, but does not include a Verizon optional Extended Local Calling Scope Arrangement. Calls originated on a 1+ presubscription basis, or on a casual dialed (10XXX/101XXXX) basis, are not considered Measured Internet Traffic. For the avoidance of any doubt, Virtual Foreign Exchange Traffic (i.e., V/FX Traffic) (as defined in the Interconnection Attachment) does not constitute Measured Internet Traffic.
Measured Internet Traffic. To the extent that a Fiber Meet arrangement established under this Agreement is used for the transmission and routing of traffic of the types set forth in Sections 3.1.3.1 and/or 3.1.3.5, other than the obligation to pay intercarrier compensation charges pursuant to the terms of the Agreement, neither Party shall have any obligation to pay the other Party any charges in connection with any Fiber Meet arrangements established under this Agreement. To the extent that a Fiber Meet arrangement established under this Agreement is used for the transmission and routing of traffic of the type set forth in Section 3.1.3.2, the transport and termination of such traffic shall be subject to the rates and charges set forth in the Agreement and applicable Tariffs. To the extent that a Fiber Meet arrangement established under this Agreement is used for the transmission and routing of traffic of the type set forth in Section 3.1.3.3, the Party originating such traffic shall compensate the terminating Party for the transport and termination of such traffic at the rates and charges set forth in the Agreement and applicable Tariffs. To the extent that a Fiber Meet arrangement established under this Agreement is used for the transmission and routing of traffic of the type set forth in Section 3.1.3.4, Frontier shall charge (and Onvoy shall pay) Frontier’s applicable rates and charges as set forth in the Agreement and Frontier’s applicable Tariffs, including transport charges to the terminating Frontier Tandem.

For the avoidance of any doubt, Virtual Foreign Exchange Traffic (i.e., V/FX Traffic) (as defined in the Two-Way Wireless Attachment) does not constitute Measured Internet Traffic.

A document prepared by the Billing Committee of the Ordering and Billing Forum (OBF), which functions under the auspices of the Carrier Liaison Committee (CLC) of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS). The MECAB document, published by Telcordia Technologies as Special Report SR- BDS-000983, contains the recommended guidelines for the billing of an Exchange Access Service provided by two or more LECs, or by one LEC in two or more states, within a single LATA.
Measured Internet Traffic. Dial-up, switched Internet Traffic originated by a Customer of one Party (“Originating Party”) on that Party’s network at a point in a LATA, and delivered to a Customer or an Internet Service Provider served by the other Party (“Receiving Party”), on that other Party’s network at a point in the same LATA. Measured Internet Traffic does not include: (1) any traffic that is carried by a third party carrier at any point between the Customer of the Originating Party and the Customer or Internet Service Provider served by the Receiving Party; or, (2) traffic that is carried by a Party as either a presubscribed call (1+) or a casual dialed (10XXX or 1010XXXX) call originated by a Telephone Exchange Customer of another carrier. For the avoidance of any doubt, Virtual Foreign Exchange Traffic (i.e., V/FX Traffic) (as defined in the Interconnection Attachment) does not constitute Measured Internet Traffic.
