Middle and High School. 1. Each teacher shall be provided preparation time which shall be equal to one (1) full class period during the instructional day with such time being free from specific duty assignments.

Middle and High School. The ratio of pupils to teachers and other professional staff members shall not exceed 27 to 1. It is recommended that, except in certain activity type classes, such as physical education, music and study hall, the total average pupil load for teachers within a department not exceed 150 pupils per day. The recommended class size is not more than 30 pupils except as noted below:
