NON-DISCRIMINATION AND EQUAL EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES. Unless otherwise exempt, this contract is subject to the non-discrimination provisions in Sections 10.8 through 10.8.2 of the Los Angeles Administrative Code, as amended from time to time. The Seller shall comply with the applicable non-discrimination and affirmative action provisions of the laws of the United States of America, the State of California, and the City of Los Angeles. In performing this contract, Seller shall not discriminate in its employment practices against any employee or applicant for employment because of such person's race, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, domestic partner status, marital status or medical condition. Any subcontract entered into by Seller relating to this contract, to the extent allowed hereunder, shall include a like provision for work to be performed under this contract. Failure of Seller to comply with this requirement or to obtain the compliance of its subcontractors with such obligations shall subject Seller to the imposition of any and all sanctions allowed by law, including but not limited to termination of Seller’s contract with the Buyer. Unless otherwise exempt, this contract is subject to the equal employment practices provisions in Section 10.8.3 of the Los Angeles Administrative Code, as amended from time to time.
NON-DISCRIMINATION AND EQUAL EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES. The Agreement shall comply with the provisions of Los Angeles Administrative Code Section 10.8.3, Equal Employment Practices. By affixing its signatures on the Agreement that is subject to the Equal Employment Practices Provisions, the Consultant shall agree to adhere to the provisions in the Equal Employment Practices Provisions for the duration of the Agreement. Furthermore, the Consultant shall include similar provisions in all subcontracts awarded for work to be performed under the Agreement with LADWP and shall impose the same obligations.   • GENERAL EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES 13.1 As the Board is a fair and equal opportunity employer, marital status, race, creed, religion, sex, age, national origin or number of years teaching experience shall not be made a condition of employment. Contractor further agrees to abide by any other laws, regulations, or orders that prohibit the discrimination of any kind of any of Contractor’s employees.

  • FAIR EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES Pursuant to NRS 338.125, Fair Employment Practices, the following provisions must be included in any contract between CONSULTANT and a public body such as CITY:

  • Non-Discrimination and Equal Opportunity All Parties to this MOU certify that they prohibit, and will continue to prohibit, discrimination, and they certify that no person, otherwise qualified, is denied employment, services, or other benefits on the basis of: (i) political or religious opinion or affiliation, marital status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identification and/or expression, race, color, creed, or national origin; (ii) sex or age, except when age or sex constitutes a bona fide occupational qualification; or (iii) the physical or mental disability of a qualified individual with a disability.   • COMPLIANCE WITH EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY ORDINANCE 2.16.1 Contractor shall comply with City’s Equal Employment Opportunity Ordinance as set out in in Section 15-17 of the Code of Ordinances.

  • Nondiscrimination and Equal Opportunity Consultant shall not discriminate, on the basis of a person’s race, religion, color, national origin, age, physical or mental handicap or disability, medical condition, marital status, sex, or sexual orientation, against any employee, applicant for employment, subcontractor, bidder for a subcontract, or participant in, recipient of, or applicant for any services or programs provided by Consultant under this Agreement. Consultant shall comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, policies, rules, and requirements related to equal opportunity and nondiscrimination in employment, contracting, and the provision of any services that are the subject of this Agreement, including but not limited to the satisfaction of any positive obligations required of Consultant thereby.   • Employment Protection A regular employee who is displaced from their job because of technological change will be considered to be laid off according to Article 13 (Layoff and Recall).
