Common use of OTHER WORK Clause in Contracts

OTHER WORK. 12.01 When an employee's usual work is temporarily not available, he may be required to perform any work which the Employer has for him with the understanding that when such an employee is assigned to a job with a lesser rate of pay, his regular rate of pay will be continued. It is understood and agreed that this will not result in the lay-off of any man within the classification in which he is required to do other work.
