Overseeding. All mechanical overseeding will be performed using a verticut overseeder, where applicable mechanical overseeding will be performed at a rate of three (3) pounds of seed per 1,000 sq. ft. to strengthen weak areas and to incorporate new varieties of grass into existing turf. The seed shall consist of a certified blend of Tall Fescue type species approved by the Contract Administrator or his/her designee.
Overseeding. The Fescue turf shall be over seeded in the fall in alternating years under the following specifications. • Aerator is to be used to disturb the soil surface and provide an environment for new seed soil contact. • An improved turf type tall Fescue blend seed type (no dwarf seed types accepted) with guaranteed germination of 90% and a guaranteed seed purity of 98% at a rate of 5 lbs. per 1,000 Sq. Ft. is to be used. - DAMAGED AREAS - Any areas damaged by disease or drought should be: • Scalped and debris removed. • Verticut and debris removed. • Over seeded with an improved variety of turf type Tall Fescue at a rate of 8 to 10 lbs. per 1,000 Sq. Ft. • Mulch with wheat straw to retain moisture. Overseeding should be timed with the fourth fertilizer application. - AREAS INFESTED BY BERMUDA - Treatment of Bermuda infested Fescue grass shall be an option to the customer and a separate proposal shall be provided to perform the work. Overseeding. All turf areas shall be reseeded as directed by the City Representative, in order to improve density or repair bare areas. Overseeding shall occur at a time of year that is most suitable for the grass type. All areas to be reseeded shall be verticut to remove all thatch and to provide a rough seedbed suitable for seeding. Once the seed has been applied, seed will be covered with finish mulch (or an alternative topping approved by the City Representative) to prevent erosion. Mulch will be provided by the City. Contractor will be required to request an adjustment to the irrigation schedule in order to ensure adequate moisture to guarantee 100% germination. When requesting an adjustment to the irrigation schedule, Contractor will take into consideration all local and State water conservation guidelines and prevent water waste.
Overseeding. Unless suspended by the Parks & Recreation Department due to watering restrictions or not funded in the golf operating annual budget. All tee areas shall be overseeded each fall at a rate of 15 pounds per 1,000 square feet from November to April or as necessary to maintain a suitable level of grass for play. Seed used shall be a perennial rye grass based material or equivalent approved by the City Representative. Any changes to the overseeding plan shall be approved in advance by the City Representative. Set Up Tee markers shall be moved daily and coordinated with pin placement. Litter containers shall be emptied as necessary. Ball washers shall be filled as needed and supplied with clean towels. Ball washers, trash cans, tee signs and benches shall be kept clean and in good repair. Divot buckets are to be cleaned and filled daily. Weed Control Pre-emergent chemicals shall be used in the appropriate amounts and appropriate times to help prevent intrusion into from undesirable plant species such as Goosegrass and Crabgrass. Vertical Mowing Allteesshallbe vertically mowed three(3) times each yearinconjunction with aerification or as needed to control thatch build up.

Related to Overseeding

  • Oversight The Licensing Officer shall oversee the quality of the services provided by the Licensee and the reasonableness of the prices charged. The Licensing Officer may advise the Licensee from time to time of any source of dissatisfaction and request correction.

  • Testing Landlord shall have the right to conduct annual tests of the Premises to determine whether any contamination of the Premises or the Project has occurred as a result of Tenant’s use. Tenant shall be required to pay the cost of such annual test of the Premises; provided, however, that if Tenant conducts its own tests of the Premises using third party contractors and test procedures acceptable to Landlord which tests are certified to Landlord, Landlord shall accept such tests in lieu of the annual tests to be paid for by Tenant. In addition, at any time, and from time to time, prior to the expiration or earlier termination of the Term, Landlord shall have the right to conduct appropriate tests of the Premises and the Project to determine if contamination has occurred as a result of Tenant’s use of the Premises. In connection with such testing, upon the request of Landlord, Tenant shall deliver to Landlord or its consultant such non-proprietary information concerning the use of Hazardous Materials in or about the Premises by Tenant or any Tenant Party. If contamination has occurred for which Tenant is liable under this Section 30, Tenant shall pay all costs to conduct such tests. If no such contamination is found, Landlord shall pay the costs of such tests (which shall not constitute an Operating Expense). Landlord shall provide Tenant with a copy of all third party, non-confidential reports and tests of the Premises made by or on behalf of Landlord during the Term without representation or warranty and subject to a confidentiality agreement. Tenant shall, at its sole cost and expense, promptly and satisfactorily remediate any environmental conditions identified by such testing in accordance with all Environmental Requirements. Landlord’s receipt of or satisfaction with any environmental assessment in no way waives any rights which Landlord may have against Tenant.
