Required Testing. Proficiency Exam The Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency (CAAP) consists of four test components covering writing skills, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning. Students are required to test after completing 48 or more credit hours (32 credit hours for Associates Degree students).
