Common use of Safeguards Clause in Contracts

Safeguards. Contractor shall have in place administrative, physical, and technical safeguards that reasonably and appropriately protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Protected Health Information and Personally Identifiable Information that it creates, receives, maintains or transmits pursuant to the Agreement and to prevent the use or disclosure of Protected Health Information and/or Personally Identifiable Information other than as provided for in this Agreement, or as required by law.
