Shop Drawings. The CONSULTANT agrees that all Shop Drawings shall be stamped (or otherwise labeled) with one of the following notations and language: APPROVED [ ] APPROVED AS CORRECTED [ ] REVISE AND RESUBMIT [ ] NOT APPROVED [ ] Approval is only for general conformance with the design concept of the Project and compliance with the information given in the Contract Documents. Such reviews and approvals or other actions shall not extend to means, methods, techniques, sequences, or procedures of construction or to safety precautions and programs incident thereto. The Contractor is responsible for dimensions to be confirmed and correlated at the job site; for information that pertains solely to the fabrication processes or to techniques of construction; and for coordination of the work of all trades." Furthermore, the CONSULTANT agrees that it shall devise a separate tracking system for Shop drawings previously disapproved, or for which corrections, modifications, or changes are necessary. The tracking system shall be both timely and efficient, and shall account for the status and party responsible to correct all previously submitted Shop Drawings until their complete approval and acceptance. The tracking system shall include, but not be limited to, the following CONSULTANT activities: subsequent to any Contractor's being ordered to start construction work, the CONSULTANT shall transmit to the CITY, if required by Services Authorization and at such frequency as defined therein, a list of Shop Drawings anticipated for such construction contract, the names of Shop Drawings, their due dates (in accordance with Shop Drawing schedules submitted by the Contractor(s)) required from the Contractor(s); their dates of issue, receipt, checking, return for correction, resubmission, and approval; and any information that will clearly provide the CITY with the progress of Project Shop Drawings; provided, however, that in any event all Shop Drawings that have been submitted to the CONSULTANT (whether for approval or reapproval) shall be reviewed and returned by the CONSULTANT within twenty (20) days of submission.

The Contractor should check for erection clearance and ensure that detailing of connections is responsible carefully planned to obtain ease in erection of structures, including field welded connections and bolting. Particular care is required when detailing joints with the use of high strength friction grip bolts as this involves clearances for dimensions to be confirmed and correlated at the job site; use of sockets with torque wrench. The contractor shall submit design calculations for information that pertains solely to the fabrication processes or to techniques of construction; substitution, if any and for coordination of the work of all trades." Furthermore, the CONSULTANT agrees that it shall devise a separate tracking system for Shop drawings previously disapproved, or for which corrections, modifications, or changes are necessaryconnection details proposed by him. The tracking system fabrication drawings shall be both timely revised by Contractor to reflect all revisions in design drawings as and efficient, and shall account for when such revisions are made by the status and party responsible to correct all previously submitted Shop Drawings until their complete approval and acceptanceEngineer-In- Charge. The tracking system revised fabrication drawings shall include, but not be limited to, the following CONSULTANT activities: subsequent to any Contractor's being ordered to start construction work, the CONSULTANT shall transmit to the CITY, if required by Services Authorization and at such frequency as defined therein, a list of Shop Drawings anticipated for such construction contract, the names of Shop Drawings, their due dates (in accordance with Shop Drawing schedules submitted by the Contractor(s)) required from the Contractor(s); their dates of issue, receipt, checking, return for correction, resubmission, and approval; and any information that will clearly provide the CITY with the progress of Project Shop Drawings; provided, however, that in any event all Shop Drawings that have been submitted to the CONSULTANT Engineer-In- Charge for approval. Only approved and marked for construction drawings with appropriate revisions marking drawings shall be used for carrying out the fabrication work. Unchecked, unsigned and drawings without any stamp of (whether for approval or reapprovalAFC) shall not be reviewed and returned used for the purpose of proceeding with the work. If it is found that the contractor has not adhered to these stipulations, the fabrication work shall be liable for rejection. The details regarding the reproducible, number of prints to be furnished etc. shall be as per the tender provisions. Shop Drawings. The CONSULTANT agrees timely submission of shop drawings and the number of copies will be as specified below in Special Requirements or as advised shortly after the Project commences. The tracking system shall include, do so including the costs incurred by the Contractor (including but not limited to legal and consulting costs). Contractor shall only be limited toliable to the Subcontractor to the extent that Contractor succeeds in recovery on a claim as against the Owner. For all undocumented changes or claims, the following CONSULTANT activities: subsequent to any Contractor's being ordered to start construction work, the CONSULTANT Subcontractor shall transmit to the CITY, if required by Services Authorization and at such frequency as defined therein, a list of Shop Drawings anticipated for such construction contract, the names of Shop Drawings, their due dates have no claim against Contractor unless notification is giving in writing within five (in accordance with Shop Drawing schedules submitted by the Contractor(s)) required from the Contractor(s); their dates of issue, receipt, checking, return for correction, resubmission, and approval; and any information that will clearly provide the CITY with the progress of Project Shop Drawings; provided, however, that in any event all Shop Drawings that have been submitted to the CONSULTANT (whether for approval or reapproval) shall be reviewed and returned by the CONSULTANT within twenty (205) days of submissionthe occurrence leading to the alleged change or claim indicating details and amount of the claim.
