Unpaid Leave. Subject to operational requirements and availability of qualified replacement staff, where required, the Employer agrees to provide employees with one (1) month of unpaid leave while granting service credits for seniority purposes, provided that the employee would not have been laid off during the period of unpaid leave. The month of unpaid leave does not necessarily have to be taken consecutively, but cannot be taken in amounts of less than two (2) days at a time.
