EPBC Act definition

EPBC Act means the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth).
EPBC Act means the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth); National Heritage Management Principles means National Heritage management principles within the meaning of the EPBC Act;
EPBC Act means the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999;“firebreak”means the minimum area of land required to be cleared for a firebreak or to comply with the Bush Fires Act 1954 and local government firebreak requirements;“floor area”has the same meaning as in the Building Code of Australia 1996published by the Australian Building Codes Board;“frontage”when used in relation to a building that is used for —(a) residential purposes, has the same meaning as in the Residential Design Codes; and(b) purposes other than residential purposes, means the road alignment at the front of a lot and, if a lot abuts 2 or more roads, the one to which the building or proposed building faces;“Gazettal date”in relation to a Scheme, means the date on which the Scheme is published in the Gazette under clause 87 of the Planning and Development Act 2005;“heavy vehicle”means a vehicle exceeding an unladen tare weight of 4.5 tonnes or a length of 5 metres;“height”AMD 1 GG 9/11/12when used in relation to a building that is used for —(a) residential purposes, has the same meaning as in the Residential Design Codes; or(b) purposes other than residential purposes, means the maximum vertical distance between the natural ground level and the finished roof height directly above;“high water mark”has the same meaning as in the Land Administration Act 1997;“incidental use”means a use of premises which is ancillary and subordinate to the predominant use;“intermittent streams and watercourses”AMD 1 GG 9/11/12means a watercourse as defined in the Rights in Water and Irrigation Act (1914) that is not a permanent stream or watercourse;“land”has the same meaning as the Planning and Development Act 2005 and includes waters, riparian zones and estuaries;"land clearing"for the purposes of clause 5.20, means any one or more of the following:(a) cutting down, felling, thinning, logging or removing vegetation;(b) killing, destroying, poisoning, ringbarking, uprooting or burning vegetation; or(c) severing, branches, limbs, stems or trunks of vegetation;“LNRSPP”means the Statement of Planning Policy No 6.1 - Leeuwin- Naturaliste Ridge Policy;

  • If the amendment of a clearing permit will or is likely to impact on a matter of national environmental significance identified under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth) (EPBC Act) the original application must have been assessed in accordance with the bilateral assessment, and a variation under the EPBC Act is required prior to submitting this amendment application form.

EPBC Act means the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth). Impact means an impact as defined under section 527E of the EPBC Act. Impacts to which this Agreement relates means the Impacts of actions under the Plan on any matter protected by a provision of Part 3 of the EPBC Act. Information includes data, information, knowledge and understanding developed for the purpose of the Strategic Assessment of the Strategic Assessment Area for use in: the development of the Plan and other documents; and the assessment of the Impacts of the Plan.
EPBC Act means the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth). NSW means the state of New South Wales. Parties means the Commonwealth and RMS. Program describes guidelines for the application of Part 5 (excluding Part 5.1) of the EP&A Act, and subsequent decision-making, in relation to the undertaking of road and traffic management works by, or on behalf of, RMS, with regard to the Specified Protected Matters. The guidelines must be documented. This constitutes the ‘policy, plan or program’ pursuant to section 146 of the EPBC Act and is to be described more fully in the Program Report.
EPBC Act means the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Xxx 0000 and any statutory modification, substitution or re-enactment of that legislation or legislative provision. Essential Cassowary Habitat means the habitat necessary for the persistence of Southern Cassowary populations in perpetuity and critical to the survival of the Southern Cassowary. These areas extend from the entire coastal area just north of Townsville to Cooktown and have been mapped in the Wet Tropics by Queensland Environmental Protection Agency (now Department of Resource Management) and are based on Regional Ecosystem mapping. Habitat Corridor Outline means the outer boundary of the Conservation Area marked in purple in the attached figure at Schedule 1.
EPBC Act means Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cwlth).
