Natural Products definition

Natural Products means an item containing nothing artificial or synthetic in its compounds while it remains a whole item and throughout its decomposition process.

Natural Products is defined with reference to “Research Specimens” so that it is clear that Collaborator is authorized to collect or use for scientific purposes only those naturally occurring materials covered in a permit issued under 36 CFR 1.6 and 2.5. This definition also reinforces the prohibition against sale or commercial use of Research Specimens but does not extend the prohibition to the results of Collaborator’s research activities involving Research Specimens, Progeny, or Unmodified Derivatives.
