Operable Unit 3 definition

Operable Unit 3 or “OU 3” shall mean the Little Rapids to De Pere reach of the Lower Fox River, as delineated by the Record of Decision signed by WDNR and EPA in June 2003 (Dkt. 404-2). More specifically, OU 3 is the portion of the Lower Fox River (and the underlying River sediment) from the Little Rapids Dam downstream to the De Pere Dam.
Operable Unit 3 or “OU-3” shall mean property in or around the Zonolite Mine owned by X. X. Xxxxx or Xxxxx-owned subsidiaries (excluding OU-2) and any area (including any structure, soil, air, water, sediment or receptor) impacted by the release and/or release and subsequent migration of hazardous substances and/or pollutants or contaminants from such property, including, but not limited to, the mine property, the Kootenai River and the sediments therein, Xxxxxx Creek, Xxxxxx Creek Road and areas in which tree bark is contaminated with such hazardous substances and/or pollutants and contaminants.
Operable Unit 3 or “OU3” shall mean the Bonita Peak Groundwater System. The Bonita Peak Groundwater System generally includes the saturated and unsaturated workings of the Sunnyside Mine, associated drainage and haulage tunnels, nearby mines not known to be connected to the Sunnyside Mine by workings (e.g. Red & Bonita Mine and Gold King Mine), and the surrounding geographic area that may be hydraulically connected or influenced by current and/or historical releases from or management of these mines.

More Definitions of Operable Unit 3

Operable Unit 3 means the following portion of the Diamond Alkali Site: the area defined by the EPA as the Newark Bay Study Area, encompassing Newark Bay and portions of the Hackensack River, Xxxxxx Kill, and the Kill Xxx Xxxx.
Operable Unit 3 or “OU3” shall mean the third reach of the Lower Fox River, as delineated by the Record of Decision signed by WDNR and EPA in June 2003. Operable Unit 3 or “OU3” means the Site areas described as OU3 in the Record of Decision.
Operable Unit 3 or “OU3” shall mean the portion of the OU 1 Study Area defined as being from the mouth of Newtown Creek at the East River (referred to as Creek Mile 0) to two miles up, or into, Newtown Creek (Creek Mile 2), excluding the Whale Creek and Dutch Kills tributaries of Newtown Creek. The OU3 portion of the Newtown Creek Study Area is depicted generally on the map attached as Appendix B.
