Phase 2 Clinical Trial definition

Phase 2 Clinical Trial means a human clinical trial, for which the primary endpoints include a determination of dose ranges or an indication of efficacy in patients being studied as described in 21 C.F.R. §312.21(b), or an equivalent clinical trial in a country in the Territory other than the United States.
Phase 2 Clinical Trial means a study in humans of the safety, dose ranging and efficacy of a Product, which is prospectively designed to generate sufficient data (if successful) to commence a Phase 3 Clinical Trial or to file for accelerated approval, or otherwise consistent with the requirements of U.S. 21 C.F.R. §312.21(b) or its foreign equivalents.
Phase 2 Clinical Trial means a human clinical trial of a Licensed Product that would satisfy the requirements of 21 C.F.R. 312.21(b) or corresponding foreign regulations.

Phase 2 Clinical Trial means, as to a particular Licensed Product for a particular indication, a controlled and lawful study in humans of the safety, dose ranging and efficacy of such Licensed Product for such indication, which is prospectively designed to generate sufficient data (if successful) to commence a Phase 3 Clinical Trial of such Licensed Product for such indication.
Phase 2 Clinical Trial means a Phase 2a Clinical Trial or a Phase 2b Clinical Trial.
Phase 2 Clinical Trial means a clinical trial as defined in 21 C.F.R. § 312.21(b), or, with respect to any other country or jurisdiction, the equivalent of such a clinical trial in such other country or jurisdiction.
Phase 2 Clinical Trial means a human clinical trial of a product in any country that would satisfy the requirements of 21 C.F.R. 312.21(b) and is intended to explore a variety of doses, dose response, and duration of effect, and to generate initial evidence of clinical safety and activity in a target patient population, or a similar clinical study prescribed by the relevant Regulatory Authorities in a country other than the United States.
Phase 2 Clinical Trial means a human clinical trial of a Licensed Cell Therapeutic, the principal purpose of which is to evaluate the effectiveness of such Licensed Cell Therapeutic in the target patient population, including, in the United States, a human clinical trial as described in 21 CFR 312.21(b), or, in a country other than the United States, a similar clinical study prescribed by the applicable Regulatory Authority.
Phase 2 Clinical Trial means any human clinical trial of the Product conducted mainly to test the effectiveness and to determine the common short-term side effects and risks associated with the Product for purposes of identifying the appropriate dose for a Phase 3 Clinical Trial for a particular indication or indications that would satisfy the requirements of 21 CFR § 312.21(b) or its non-U.S. equivalents. A “Phase 2/3 Clinical Trial” shall be deemed to be a Phase 2 Clinical Trial with respect to the portion of that clinical trial that is regarded as its Phase 2 component, in accordance with the applicable protocol.
Phase 2 Clinical Trial means a controlled human clinical trial of a Compound or Product that would satisfy the requirements under Title 21 of the United States Code of Federal Regulations part 312.21(b), regardless of whether such trial is referred to as a “phase 2 clinical trial” in the Development Plan.
