Principal Investigator definition

Principal Investigator or “PI” is the person, designated by University, and accepted by Sponsor, who is directly responsible for executing, directing, overseeing and reporting a Sponsored Project under this Agreement.
Principal Investigator means the Personnel who is identified as principally responsible for the performance and supervision of research associated with a Contract.
Principal Investigator means the person who will take primary responsibility for the conduct of the Clinical Trial at the Trial Site or any other person as may be agreed between the Parties as a replacement;

Examples of Principal Investigator in a sentence

  • Payment of the amounts due under this Agreement is subject to: The Clinical Trial being completed in accordance with the Protocol The Clinical Organisation providing to the Sponsor or CRO all requested documentation/receipts for expenses; and The Principal Investigator complying with the terms of this Agreement.

  • The Sponsor and/or CRO (as applicable) must provide any ongoing safety and toxicology data updates to the Principal Investigator immediately, to ensure the safety of the Clinical Trial Subjects in this Phase I Clinical Trial.

  • No data produced by the Principal Investigator in any other clinical trial has been rejected because of concerns as to its accuracy or because it was generated by fraudulent means.


More Definitions of Principal Investigator

Principal Investigator means, if the Applicant is a Post-secondary Institution and if the Application identified a principal investigator or designated an individual as a chair, the individual who is identified in the Application as the principal investigator or the chair for the Project. For avoidance of doubt, more than one principal investigator may be identified for the Project, but only one chair may be identified;
Principal Investigator means the individual designated by the Authorized User to be responsible for ensuring compliance with the requirements in this Agreement. The Authorized User may also be the Principal Investigator.
Principal Investigator or “PI” is Sub-recipient employee identified in Exhibit B, who is primarily responsible for ensuring that all terms and conditions of this PFA are met and to whom WRF shall give all notices intended for Sub-recipient. If more than one PI is designated in Exhibit B, the additional PIs shall be referred to as a Co-PI(s), though the PI shall remain the primary point of contact under this PFA.
