Reference Entity definition

Reference Entity means with respect to a Synthetic Security, the Obligor to whose credit such Synthetic Security is linked and the Obligor under any Reference Obligation specified in such Synthetic Security.
Reference Entity means the entity specified as such in these Credit Linked Conditions. Any Successor to the Reference Entity either (a) identified pursuant to the definition of "Successor" on or following the Trade Date or (b) identified pursuant to a DC Resolution in respect of a Successor Resolution Request Date and publicly announced by the DC Secretary on or following the Trade Date shall, in each case, with effect from the Succession Date, be the Reference Entity for the purposes of the relevant Series.
Reference Entity means, on any date, the legal entity whose common stock is the Common Stock on such date.

Examples of Reference Entity in a sentence

  • Party A and Party B agree that, each time they enter into a Master Transaction, they enter into a separate and independent Credit Derivative Transaction (a “Component Transaction”) in respect of each Reference Entity listed in the Relevant Annex (as defined in the General Terms Confirmation defined below).

  • Such quotations may not be available, or the level of such quotations may be substantially reduced as a result of illiquidity in the relevant markets or as a result of factors other than the credit risk of the affected Reference Entity (for example, liquidity constraints affecting market dealers).

  • No need for loss Credit losses will be calculated for the purposes of the Securities irrespective of whether the Swap Counterparty or its affiliates or the relevant Issuer has suffered an actual loss in relation to the Reference Entity or any obligations thereof.

  • The Securities do not constitute an acquisition by the Holders of any interest in any obligation of a Reference Entity.


More Definitions of Reference Entity

Reference Entity means the entity to whose credit any Synthetic Security is linked.
Reference Entity means the entity or entities specified as such in the applicable Final Terms. Any Successor to a Reference Entity identified pursuant to the definition of "Successor" in this Condition 6(j) shall be the Reference Entity for the purposes of the relevant Series.
Reference Entity means each reference entity from time to time listed in the Reference Portfolio Ledger.
Reference Entity means each entity specified in the applicable Final Terms, or each entity identified as such in a Schedule to the Final Terms, and, in each case, any Successor. If one or more Reference Entities are identified in a Schedule each such Reference Entity may be designated as a particular "Entity Type". References to "Standard Terms" in Final Terms means in respect of each Reference Entity the corresponding standard terms specified for its Entity Type in a Schedule or in Annexes of a Schedule.
Reference Entity means each of the entities specified in § 3 of the Product Data, or such other entities specified to be Reference Entities, and any Successor either:
Reference Entity means the Arab Republic of Egypt or its Successor.
Reference Entity means the Federative Republic of Brazil and any direct or indirect successor to it, irrespective of whether such successor assumes any of its obligations.
