  • In exceptional circumstances, The Mater Hospital may solicit the Tenderer’s consent to an extension of the period of validity.

  • The Tenderer shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of its tender, and The Mater Hospital, will in no case be responsible or liable for those costs.

  • A negative determination will result in rejection of the Tenderer’s tender, in which event The Mater Hospital will proceed to the next lowest evaluated tender to make a similar determination of that Tenderer’s capabilities to perform satisfactorily.

  • If The Mater Hospital determines that non of the tenders is responsive, The Mater Hospital shall notify each tenderer who submitted a tender.2.26.2 The Mater Hospital shall give prompt notice of the termination to the tenderers and on request give its reasons for termination within 14 days of receiving the request from any tenderer.

  • The Mater Hospital’s Right to accept or Reject any or all Tenders 2.26.1 The Mater Hospital reserves the right to accept or reject any tender, and to annul the tendering process and reject all tenders at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected tenderer or tenderers or any obligation to inform the affected tenderer or tenderers of the grounds for The Mater Hospital’s action.

  • Conversion to single currency 2.21.1 Where other currencies are used, The Mater Hospital will convert those currencies to Kenya Shillings using the selling exchange rate on the date of tender closing provided by the Central Bank of Kenya.

  • Evaluation and Comparison of Tenders 2.22.1 The Mater Hospital will evaluate and compare the tenders which have been determined to be substantially responsive, pursuant to paragraph 2.20 2.22.2 The Mater Hospital’s evaluation of a tender will take into account, in addition to the tender price, the following factors, in the manner and to the extent indicated in paragraph 2.22.3.

  • Contacting the Mater Hospital 2.23.1 Subject to paragraph 2.19 no tenderer shall contact The Mater Hospital on any matter relating to its tender, from the time of the tender opening to the time the contract is awarded.

  • Public hospital means a governmental entity of a political subdivision of the state of Iowa that is authorized by legislative authority. For purposes of this subrule, a “public hospital” must also meet the requirements of Iowa Code section 249J.3. Under Iowa Code section 249J.3, a “public hospital” must be licensed pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 135B and governed pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 145A (merged hospitals), Iowa Code chapter 347 (county hospitals), Iowa Code chapter 347A (county hospitals payable from revenue), or Iowa Code chapter 392 (creation by city of a hospital or health care facility). For the purposes of this definition, “public hospital” does not include a hospital or medical care facility that is funded, operated, or administered by the Iowa department of human services, Iowa department of corrections, or board of regents, or the Iowa Veterans Home.

  • General hospital means a subclass of hospital that provides surgical services and emergency services.

  • Transplant hospital means a hospital that furnishes organ transplants and other medical and surgical specialty services required for the care of transplant patients.

  • Participating Hospital means an Administrator Hospital that has an agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide Hospital services to participants in the Participating Provider Option program.

  • Outpatient hospital services means preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, observation, rehabilitation, or palliative services provided to an outpatient by or under the direction of a physician, dentist, or other practitioner by an institution that:

  • SPECIALTY HOSPITAL means a hospital or the specialty unit of a general hospital that is licensed by the state. It must be designed to care for patients with injuries or special illnesses. This includes, but is not limited to, a long-term acute care unit, an acute mental health or acute short-term rehabilitation unit or hospital. Hospital does not mean: • convalescent home; • rest home; • nursing home; • home for the aged; • school and college infirmary; • residential treatment facility; • long-term care facility; • urgent care center or freestanding ambulatory surgical center; • facility providing mainly custodial, educational or rehabilitative care; or • a section of a hospital used for custodial, educational or rehabilitative care, even if accredited by the JCAHO or listed in the AHA directory.

  • Non-Participating Hospice Care Program Provider means a Hospice Care Program Provider that either: (i) does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield to provide services to participants in this benefits program, or; (ii) a Hospice Care Program Provider which has not been designated by a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan as a Participating Provider Option program.

  • Hospice patient s family" means a hospice patient's immediate family members, including a spouse, brother, sister, child, or parent, and any other relative or individual who has significant personal ties to the patient and who is designated as a member of the patient's family by mutual agreement of the patient, the relative or individual, and the patient's interdisciplinary team.

  • Pharmacist intern or “intern” means a person enrolled in a college of pharmacy or actively pursuing a pharmacy degree, or as otherwise provided by the board, who is registered with the board for the purpose of obtaining instruction in the practice of pharmacy from a preceptor pursuant to Iowa Code section 155A.6. “Pharmacist-intern” includes a graduate of an approved college of pharmacy, or a foreign graduate who has established educational equivalency pursuant to the requirements of rule 657—4.7(155A), who is registered with the board for the purpose of obtaining practical experience as a requirement for licensure as a pharmacist in Iowa. “Pharmacist-intern” may include an individual participating in a residency or fellowship program in Iowa, whether or not the individual is licensed as a pharmacist in another state.

  • Participating Hospice Care Program Provider means a Hospice Care Program Provider that either: (i) has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield to provide services to participants in this benefits program, or; (ii) a Hospice Care Program Provider which has been designated by a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan as a Participating Provider Option program.

  • Non-Participating Hospital means an Administrator Hospital that does not meet the definition of a Participating Hospital.

  • Hospital means a facility that:

  • Mental Hospital means a health care facility (or its psychiatric unit) which:

  • Teaching Hospital means a hospital that trains students to become physicians, nurses, or other health or laboratory personnel.

  • Inpatient hospital services means any health care service provided to a patient who has been admitted to a hospital and is required to remain in that hospital overnight, but does not include any secure forensic mental health services;

  • Hospital system means a hospital and one or more

  • Centers means the international agricultural and natural resources research centers that are members of the Consortium; and each a “Center”.

  • Historically black college or university means an institution determined by the Secretary of Education to meet the requirements of 34 CFR 608.2.
