Time and a half definition

Time and a half means one and a half times the ordinary rate prescribed by this award for the classification of the worker concerned exclusive of the shift premiums prescribed in subclause (4) of this clause.
Time and a half means in the case of a weekly employee one and a half times the prescribed rate per week divided by the number of the prescribed total weekly ordinary hours of work, and in the case of an employee engaged by the hour, one and a half times the prescribed rate per hour.
