U.S. Securities System definition

U.S. Securities System means a securities depository or book-entry system authorized by the U.S. Department of the Treasury or a “clearing corporation” as defined in Section 8-102 of the UCC.
U.S. Securities System means a Clearance System located within the United States and that is in compliance with the conditions of Rule 17f-4 under the Investment Company Act.
U.S. Securities System means a U.S.-based clearing agency registered with the SEC under Section 17A, which acts as a securities depository, or a book-entry system authorized by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and certain federal agencies. (ee) "U.S. SECURITIES SYSTEM ACCOUNT" shall mean an account of the Custodian in a U.S. Securities System, provided that such account shall not include any assets of the Custodian other than assets held as a fiduciary, custodian or otherwise for customers. Examples of U.S. Securities System in a sentence

  • The Custodian shall release and deliver out domestic securities and other financial assets of a Fund held in a U.S. Securities System, or in an account at the Underlying Transfer Agent, only upon receipt of Proper Instructions on behalf of the applicable Fund, specifying the domestic securities or financial assets held in the United States to be delivered out and the person or persons to whom delivery is to be made.

  • The Custodian may deposit and maintain securities or other financial assets of a Fund in a U.S. Securities System.

  • Securities and cash held in a U.S. Securities System or Foreign Securities System will be held subject to the rules, terms and conditions of such entity.
