Ex parte means a communication, oral or written, to the presiding officer or other decision maker in a contested case without notice and an opportunity for all parties to participate.

exclusive economic zone ’ means the zone established by Presidential Proclamation Numbered 5030, dated March 10, 1983, including the ocean waters of the areas referred to as ‘‘eastern special areas’’ in Article 3(1) of the Agreement between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Re- publics on the Maritime Boundary, signed June 1, 1990;

Xxxxxxxx-Xxxxx Act means the Xxxxxxxx-Xxxxx Act of 2002.
Crawling bug insecticide means any insecticide product that is designed for use against ants, cockroaches, or other household crawling arthropods, including, but not limited to, mites, silverfish or spiders. “Crawling Bug Insecticide” does not include products designed to be used exclusively on humans or animals, or any house dust mite product. For the purposes of this definition only:
O. Reg. 419/05 means the Ontario Regulation 419/05, Air Pollution – Local Air Quality.
CPD means verifiable continuing professional development, as described in the General Dental Council's publication of April 2000, "Lifelong Learning – Taking Dentistry Forward", and may include attendance at approved postgraduate education courses but does not include any quality improvement activities within the meaning of paragraph 40 of Schedule 1 to the National Health Service (General Dental Services) (Scotland) Regulations 2010 in respect of which he is claiming an allowance in accordance with Determination XI of this Statement;
ESFA means the Education and Skills Funding Agency;
BRRD II means Directive (EU) 2019/879 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 May 2019 amending Directive 2014/59/EU as regards the loss-absorbing and recapitalisation capacity of credit institutions and investment firms and Directive 98/26/EC.
Permanent Closure means ceasing operation of all or any part of the facility with the intent that the animal holding area(s) and/or manure storage area(s) will no longer be used for that purpose.

NI 51-102 means National Instrument 51-102 – Continuous Disclosure Obligations;
Intermittent stream means a well-defined channel that contains water for only part of the year, typically during winter and spring when the aquatic bed is below the water table. The flow may be heavily supplemented by stormwater runoff. An intermittent stream often lacks the biological and hydrological characteristics commonly associated with the continuous conveyance of water.
Transit-oriented development means infrastructure improvements that are located within 1/2 mile of a transit station or transit-oriented facility that promotes transit ridership or passenger rail use as determined by the board and approved by the municipality in which it is located.
Xxxx-Xxxxx-Xxxxxx Act means the Xxxx-Xxxxx-Xxxxxx Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended.
MARPOL 73/78 means the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, as amended by the Protocol of 1978 relating thereto and by any other amendment in force thereafter;
Acid rain emissions limitation means, as defined in 40 CFR 72.2*, a limitation on emissions of sulfur dioxide or nitrogen oxides under the acid rain program under Title IV of the Clean Air Act (CAA).
Xxxxx–Xxxxx Act For any federally assisted construction contract, in excess of two thousand dollars ($2,000), the contractor, subcontractor, subrecipient shall comply with all of the requirements of the Xxxxx-Xxxxx Act (40 U.S.C. 3141 – 3148) as supplemented by Department of Labor Regulations (29 CFR Part 5, “Labor Standards Provisions Applicable to Contracts Covering Federally Financed and assisted Construction”); and the Xxxxxxxx “Anti-Kickback” Act (40 U.S.C. 3145), as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations (29 CFR Part 3, “Contractors and Subcontractors on Public Building or Public Work Financed in Whole or in Part by Loans or Grants from the United States”).
