Joint and Several Liability. 9.1 If the Contractor is a joint venture of two or more entities , all such entities shall be jointly and severally liable to the Employer for the fulfillment of the provisions of the Contract, and shall designate one of such persons to act as a leader with authority to bind the joint venture. The contractor shall not handover the responsibility of the contract to any one member or some members of Joint Venture or any other parties, not involved in the contract. The composition or the constitution of the joint venture shall not be altered without the prior consent of the Employer. 10.
