AAA and AA Manager Option Players Sample Clauses

AAA and AA Manager Option Players. Children of the AAA and AA team manager may be drafted to the team as manager option players. The Player Agent will determine the draft round by which the option must be exercised for each individual player. Rules pertaining to Majors options (paragraph 1, above) shall not apply, and the Player Agent shall slot options in any round of the draft he/she deems appropriate based on the option player’s past evaluations, tryout performance, and the Player Agent’s personal observations of the option player, if any. In addition to the option utilized by the manager in the preceding paragraph, the AA manager may also elect to utilize an option for one (1) player of a designated coach associated with that manager’s AA team. The designated coach’s option(s) must be submitted in writing to the Player Agent 2 weeks prior to tryouts and before the manager’s team assignment. The Player Agent will determine the draft round by which the option must be exercised for each individual player using the same criteria used above for manager option players. Designated Coach option players are not permitted at AAA.
