Academy Emergency Operations Plan. a) Beginning in the 2019-2020 school year, and at least biennially thereafter, the Academy shall, in conjunction with at least 1 law enforcement agency having jurisdiction over the Academy, conduct either (i) a review of the Academy’s emergency operations plan, including a review of the vulnerability assessment; or (ii) a review of the Academy’s statewide school safety information policy, as applicable. b) Not later than January 1, 2020, the Academy shall either (i) develop an emergency operations plan for each school building, including recreational structure or athletic field, operated by the Academy with input from the public; or (ii) adopt a statewide school safety information policy under Section 1308 of the Code, MCL 380.1308. The emergency operations plan or statewide school safety information policy shall comply with Section 1308b(3) of the Code, MCL 380.1308b(3). Within thirty (30) days, the Academy shall provide to the Department, in a form and manner determined by the Department, notice of the adoption of an emergency plan or the completion of an emergency operations plan review, as applicable.
