Access to Other Leave. Employees who have met the requirements for maternity leave will have access to paid pre-natal leave up to a total of 38 hours for medical appointments prior to the birth of the child. A male employee who has met the requirements for parental leave will have access to Pre-natal Leave, one day's paid leave, to attend medical appointments or interviews prior to the birth of the child.
Access to Other Leave. An employee who has met the requirements for spousal leave will have access to Pre-natal Spousal Leave, one day's paid leave, to attend medical appointments or interviews prior to the birth of the child. An employee who has met the requirements for spousal leave is entitled to use recreation, annual and long service leave during the period which would otherwise be unpaid spousal leave. Paid sick leave is not available to an employee on paid spousal leave (this excludes recreation leave, annual leave and long service leave which may be taken during the whole period of spousal leave).
