Common use of Affected Third Parties Clause in Contracts

Affected Third Parties. When the United States Government pays all or a portion of the Contract Sum, when Owner has an agreement with other public or private organizations, or when a portion of the Work is performed for a third party or in close proximity to third party facilities, representatives of these affected organizations (the “Affected Third Parties”) shall have the right to inspect the Work impacting their interests or property. Affected Third Parties’ rights to inspect shall not give rise to any status as a party to the Contract Documents, however, and shall not interfere with Owner’s or Contractor’s rights under the Contract Documents.
