After School Care Clause Samples

The After School Care clause outlines the terms and conditions under which care is provided to children after regular school hours. It typically specifies the hours of operation, eligibility requirements, and any associated fees or responsibilities for parents or guardians. For example, it may detail pick-up times, late fees, or the activities offered during the care period. The core function of this clause is to clearly define expectations and responsibilities for both the provider and the families, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing misunderstandings regarding after school supervision.

Be Safe Be Kind Be Honest While rules can change between activities and areas, these 3 expectations guide the children’s behaviour at any time. The safety and happiness of the children at WESS OSHC is our priority. We encourage the children to speak to educators if they feel unsafe or unhappy so that any problems can be resolved immediately. We ask that parents also encourage their children to speak to the educators. If a child does not follow the behavioural expectations of the service a Behaviour Report may be written for parents to read and sign and the following plan will be followed if the behaviour progresses: Step 1: Child is reminded of expectations and reasons behind expectations. Step 2: Child is given time to reflect on their behaviour with an educator before entering back to an activity. Step 3: Child is redirected to another activity. Step 4: Management team become involved to guide child’s behaviour. If a child receives multiple behaviour reports in one term or displays significant unsafe behaviour, the service, alongside with parents, P&C and school, may complete a Behaviour Support Plan.
