AGENCY CONTRACTOR Clause Samples
The 'Agency Contractor' clause defines the relationship between the contracting parties, specifying that one party is engaged as an independent contractor rather than as an employee or agent of the other. This clause typically clarifies that the contractor is responsible for their own taxes, benefits, and work methods, and does not have authority to bind the hiring party in agreements with third parties. Its core function is to prevent misunderstandings about employment status and legal liability, ensuring both parties understand the limits of their relationship and reducing the risk of misclassification or unintended obligations.

Since 2006, the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Resource Conservation District has administered the now eighteen-year-old program by training and supervising approximately 80 interns using grant and local funding. Interns are responsible for conducting Dockwalker surveys in partnership with the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways and California Coastal Commission, issuing oil absorbent pillows (bilge pads), supporting a bilge pad exchange program, and providing one-on-one education as well as informational brochures. As more new visitors use the lake, this water source is exposed to a greater number of pollutants, including oil and fuel, sewage, trash and other contaminants. The Lake Berryessa Boater Outreach Program helps mitigate these impacts by educating boaters and recreators on how to prevent water pollution and by providing tools, such as the absorbent pillow, to physically remove or capture potential pollutants. • Reduce oil pollution in Lake Berryessa by ensuring hundreds of boaters install oil absorbents to physically remove or capture potential pollutants such as boat oil and fuel. • Conduct one-on-one outreach and education to boaters by administering the Dockwalker survey in partnership with the CA Coastal Commission, plus stakeholder-driven custom surveys conducted with recreational users at day use areas. • Distribute free educational resources focusing on water quality and water pollution prevention. • Maintain a free bilge pad exchange program that enables boaters to properly dispose of contaminate...

Our estimate is based on reviewing past years budgets for similar tasks, and developing a scope and budget based on conversations with SCWA personnel. The tasks identified in our 2014/2015 scope of work include: • Infopage graph and graphics updates for display of critical water quality parameters. This would be more of a consolidated display – perhaps in dashboard fashion that gives operators critical information at a glance. • Creation of redundant flood warning and operations web pages for backup purposes. • ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Dam headworks upgrades • Putah Canal automation feasibility study 6-14-1629 March 22, 2014

Funding partners are the Cities of Vacaville, Fairfield, Suisun City, and Benicia, and the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District, and ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Irrigation District (Funding Partners). These programs provide students with locally relevant water education. Teachers are also offered a variety of resources on water, drought, and water conservation. SCWA and Funding Partners require water lessons, for grade levels K-12, highlighting water conservation and Solano County drinking water sources. Lessons will include hands-on activities and various water- related mapping activities. SCWA and Funding Partners require training to teachers for Solano County specific curriculum incorporating Project WET (Water Education Foundation Program). Project WET incorporates locally relevant water education training for K-12 teachers and emphasizes the use of next generation science standards.

Suisun ▇▇▇▇▇, Cache Slough, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇, Liberty Island, the Yolo Bypass, and the Deep Water Ship Channel form an arc of fresh and brackish habitats that offer the highest potential for tidal restoration projects. The North Delta Arc and Water Quality Study was started in 2012 to describe the Cache-▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Complex (CLC) and its response to restoration and environmental changes. During the course of the study, the region has been subject to drought, record water flows, experimental water releases, and tidal restoration projects. The study has tracked water quality, nutrients, food- web dynamics, and fish populations in the CLC. Maintaining this time series offers an opportunity to understand basic estuarine ecosystem function, the effect of climate change and sea-level rise, and the influence of tidal restoration actions. It also serves as a platform from which to mount targeted experimental approaches that answer nuanced questions about the function of restoration, flows, and other changes to the system. UC ▇▇▇▇▇ Center for Watershed Sciences (CWS) has produced a series of reports, dissertations and papers that are often surprising, and useful for understanding how social and environmental demands can overlap or compete. The study has been funded by an array of previous sponsors, including California Fish and Wildlife Ecosystem Restoration and Prop 1 grants, and the State and Federal Contractors Water Agency. While there is wide agreement that the regio...
