Aircraft Mechanic. With the aid of tools, repair, erect, assemble, dismantle and maintain aircraft and the machinery and mechanical devices or parts in a satisfactory manner. The work of a Mechanic shall include all work generally recognized as Mechanic’s work performed in and about shops, hangars or airfields operated and maintained by the Company, including but not limited to mechanical work involved in dismantling, overhauling, repairing, fabricating, assembling, welding and erecting all parts or airplanes, airplane engines, radio equipment, electrical and electronic systems, hydraulic systems and machine tool work in connection therewith. He must hold such licenses as may be required by applicable law. He must at all times accept the responsibility for work performed by himself and sign for same on the Company’s Inspection Routine Sheet and work without supervision. The Mechanic must possess these qualifications: completed apprenticeship or two (2) years mechanical experience on aircraft and A&P license.

Aircraft Mechanic. To qualify as an Aircraft Mechanic, an employee shall possess sufficient experience and training to perform the type of work outlined below. The work of an Aircraft Mechanic shall consist of work generally recognized as Aircraft Mechanic's work performed by the Company in or about Company work centers, Maintenance Base, line service stations (outer islands), Company buildings, or equipment. Such work shall include fabricating, assembling, welding, and erecting all parts of aircraft, aircraft engines, radio equipment instruments, electrical systems, heating systems, hydraulic systems, and machine tool work in connection therewith. In addition, it may include all mechanical maintenance work when performed by the Company including, but not limited to, the dismantling, repairing, fabricating, welding, altering, and maintaining of all machinery and mechanical devices, automotive equipment, ramp equipment, buildings, hangar and field storage or dispensing equipment. Aircraft Mechanics will also perform work which is incidental to their primary duties as an Aircraft Mechanic. Aircraft Mechanics will not be required to inspect parts, sub-assemblies, or completed assemblies, except to the extent necessary to determine, accomplish, and approve their own work. Aircraft Mechanics must be capable of performing the work satisfactorily and must hold the valid and necessary certificates as required by law. The present ratio (to the nearest man) of licensed Aircraft Mechanics to unlicensed Aircraft Mechanics by shifts, as required on Line Maintenance as of the date of the signing of this Agreement, will not be increased except by agreement with the Local Committee. An Aircraft Mechanic may be required to sign work records in connection with the work he performs.
Aircraft Mechanic comprises all those who, with minimum supervision, perform any work on the maintenance, servicing and recertification of Company serviced aircraft, engines, components, related systems and accessories and towing of aircraft; diagnosing of malfunctions of any system, component and accessories of aircraft engines and equipment; operation of mobile equipment as is necessary to carry out technical duties; responsible, when directed, for affixing the required legal signature for aircraft serviceability and/or the Airworthiness Release; and other duties and functions related to the foregoing as directed by management or a Senior Aircraft Mechanic. Must hold a valid Canadian A.M.E. License or a valid F.A.A. A&P license with the proper approval or endorsement to exercise the legal signatory power for aircraft serviceability and/or the Airworthiness Release that can be effectively utilized within the contractual obligations of the Company; must hold a valid restricted radio communications license; must be capable of writing comprehensive technical reports and interpreting manuals and other relevant information.
Aircraft Mechanic. Job Description In addition to those duties outlined for Ramp Service Clerk and Mechanic, an Aircraft Mechanic must hold an A (Airframe) and/or P (Powerplant) Licenses, and perform the following: The work of the Aircraft Mechanic classification, depending upon assignment, includes any or all of the following: Performing skilled work in those operations such as trouble shooting, individually or with management or professional direction, disassembly, checking and cleaning, repairing, replacing, testing, adjusting, assembling, installing, servicing, fabricating, taxiing or towing airplanes and/or run-up engines, de-icing aircraft, required to maintain the airworthiness of aircraft and all their components while in service or while undergoing overhaul and/or modification. Certifies for quality of own workmanship, including signing mechanical flight releases, except signs mechanical flight release for all work done on field work. Works according to FAA and Company regulations, and procedures and instructions from supervisors. Completes forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures and will communicate with other Company personnel as required in a manner designated by the Company. As may apply to any particular work assignment, will complete additional jobs as directed by management and will work according to Company policy and/or regulations.

  • Aircraft Basic Price The Aircraft Basic Price is listed in Table 1 and is subject to escalation in accordance with the terms of this Purchase Agreement.

  • Aircraft Maintenance Operator shall, at its own expense, cause the Aircraft to be inspected, maintained, serviced, repaired, overhauled, and tested in accordance with FAR Part 91 so that the Aircraft will remain in good operating condition and in a condition consistent with its airworthiness certification and shall take such requirements into account in scheduling the Aircraft hereunder, including but not limited compliance with applicable airworthiness directives and service bulletins. Performance of maintenance, preventive maintenance or inspection shall not be delayed or postponed for the purpose of scheduling the Aircraft unless such maintenance or inspection can safely be conducted at a later time in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and requirements, and such delay or postponement is consistent with the sound discretion of the pilot-in-command. In the event that any non-standard maintenance is required during the term and will interfere with User’s requested or scheduled flights, Operator, or Operator’s pilot-in-command, shall notify User of the maintenance required, the effect on the ability to comply with User’s requested or scheduled flights and the manner in which the parties will proceed with the performance of such maintenance and conduct of such flight(s). In no event shall Operator be liable to User or any other person for loss, injury or damage occasioned by the delay or failure to furnish the Aircraft under this Agreement, whether or not maintenance-related.

  • Lease of Aircraft Lessor agrees to lease the Aircraft to Lessee pursuant to the provisions of FAR Section 91.501(b)(6) and Section 91.501(c)(1) and this Agreement, and to provide a fully-qualified and credentialed flight crew for all flights to be conducted hereunder during the Term (as defined in Section 13) hereof. The parties acknowledge and agree that this Agreement did not result in any way from any direct or indirect advertising, holding out or soliciting on the part of Lessor or any person purportedly acting on behalf of Lessor. Lessor and Lessee intend that the lease of the Aircraft effected by this Agreement shall be treated as a “wet lease” pursuant to which Lessor provides transportation services to Lessee in accordance with FAR Section 91.501(b)(6) and Section 91.501(c)(1).

  • Condition of Aircraft Upon any Return Occasion, Lessee shall return such Aircraft to Lessor in such condition that the Aircraft shall also comply with each and every condition and requirement set forth elsewhere in this Lease, including Exhibit E hereto.
