Alternate Shift Schedules. Shift schedules that differ from the regular daily or weekly hours of work set out in this Article, may be requested by either party, and provided there is mutual agreement between the parties and, if necessary, approval has been granted by the Director of Employment Standards of the Ministry of Labour, such shift schedules may be introduced on an experimental or continuing basis by the City. Any such agreed upon shift schedules may be terminated by either party giving the other thirty (30) days notice. Consistent with the foregoing, proposed shift schedules which may involve employees in the Local 416 Bargaining Unit will be discussed with the two Local Unions.
