Health Care Services rendered at participating Ambulatory Surgery Centers are covered and include: a. use of operating and recovery rooms; b. respiratory, or inhalation therapy (e.g., oxygen); c. medications administered (except for take-home medications) at the Ambulatory Surgery Center; d. intravenous solutions; e. dressings, including ordinary casts; f. anesthetics and their administration; g. administration of, including the cost of, whole blood or blood products; h. transfusion supplies and equipment; i. diagnostic services, including radiology, ultrasound, laboratory, pathology and approved machine testing (e.g., EKG); and j. chemotherapy treatment for proven malignant disease.
