April 2024. Documentary and identity checks at Great Britain Border Control Posts (BCPs) on plant and animal products from the EU begin from this date. This is in line with a ‘whole of world’ approach to border controls which forms part of the Border Target Operating Model. It will involve digitisation and simplification of certificates and paperwork, plus easements and absence of physical checks for trusted traders importing animal and plant products from the EU and beyond. EU Entry/Exit System to come into operation for third country nationals entering the EU. This means fingerprints and captured facial images to be recorded, as well as the name of the individual, type of travel document, date, and place of entry to the EU. This is intended to replace manual stamping of passports, but there are concerns the system may increase delays at ports, transport hubs, and other border crossing points.

April 2024. After the salary review, the monthly salary for full-time white-collar em- ployees aged 18 or over shall amount to a minimum of SEK 20,701. The amount will be changed on 1 April 2024 to SEK 21,363. For white-collar employees with one year’s continuous employment at the company, the monthly salary at 1 April 2023 amounts to SEK 21,929. This amount will be changed on 1 April 2024 to SEK 22,631. For white-collar employees with no work experience, a lower salary may apply for twelve months. A local agreement is required if reasons other than lack of work experi- ence exist.
