Assignment of a Lower Pay Range. If a lower pay range is assigned to a position, the employee shall retain their salary until their increment date, at which time they shall go to the next step in the new range. Lowered Pay Range When a lower pay range is assigned to a position and an employee's current salary is above the maximum of such range, their salary shall remain set at the specific rate they were earning at the time until they are placed in another position allowing them to continue to earn additional increments. The Employer shall endeavour to place the employee in a position with a salary range equal to that of their former position, subject to the provisions of Article 11.01 (b).
