The DEPARTMENT may provide out-of-state assistance to the FOREST SERVICE when requested. Such assistance will be Assistance-by-Hire unless otherwise specified as mutual aid in the AOP pursuant to this agreement. Except for Mutual Aid, all requests for fire suppression assistance in either PARTY'S DPA shall be Assistance by Hire. Any other resources provided by a supporting PARTY, and not specifically ordered by the protecting PARTY, shall be considered a voluntary contribution.
