Common use of Authority of the Parties Clause in Contracts

Authority of the Parties. By executing this Agreement, each Party represents to the other that it is authorized to enter into this Agreement and that the person executing this Agreement on its behalf is duly authorized to do so. The District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) is committed to ensuring that each DCPS School Program Provider (Provider) that has been reviewed by the DCPS Office of School Improvement and Support-School Improvement Division (OSIS) and delivers high-quality programming to DCPS students. DCPS is committed to appropriately handling all Provider performance issues in a manner which ensures the safety and success of DCPS and its students. Accordingly, DCPS may terminate its agreement (Agreement) with any Provider for cause and remove such Provider from the DCPS OSIS list of approved School Program Providers.
