(b) - PERSONAL. ILLNESS Day shift custodians calling in sick during the school year must notify the Facilities Supervisor no later than one (1) hour prior to the start of their shift. If unable to reach the Facilities Supervisor, the day shift custodian must notify the Facilities Management Secretary at home. Afternoon shift custodians calling in sick during the school year must notify the Facilities Management Office two (2) hours prior to the start of their shift. The Board reserves the right at such time to require a physical or mental examination of a custodian at the Board’s expense by a doctor of its choice should this seem in the best interests of the school district. In lieu of such an examination, the Board may request a statement from the custodian’s physician regarding the need for the use of sick leave. A written statement may be required from the attending physician in cases of injury or illness that keeps a custodian from work for five (5) or more consecutive working days or following any period of hospitalization. A written statement shall be mandatory commencing the eighth (8) calendar day of absence. Also, such a statement shall be mandatory in all cases of absence covered by Workers Compensation and absence requiring hospitalization regardless of the length of absence. Leave time used for personal illness shall be figured in quarter (1/4) day increments.

  • Personal medical leave, serious health condition leave, or serious injury or illness leave covered by family medical leave may be taken intermittently when certified as medically necessary. Employees must make reasonable efforts to schedule leave for planned medical treatment so as not to unduly disrupt the Employer’s operations. Leave due to qualifying exigencies may also be taken on an intermittent basis.

  • Personal Belongings Tenant agrees not to leave any personal belongings (including lawn furniture) in the parking areas, common halls, sidewalks, lawn areas or other common areas of the apartment community.

  • Damage to personal clothing An employee shall be reasonably compensated for damage to personal clothing worn on duty, or reimbursed dry cleaning charges for excessive soiling to personal clothing worn on duty, provided the damage or soiling did not occur as a result of the employee’s negligence, or failure to wear the protective clothing provided. Each case shall be determined on its merits by the employer.

  • Personal Vehicles A. Employees who are directed by the Employer to use a personal vehicle for official state business shall do so in accordance with state fleet policies established by the Department of Budget and Management. When circumstances make it impractical for an employee to obtain a state vehicle on the day the vehicle will be used, such employee may request the vehicle at the end of the prior day’s shift, and the appointing authority shall make reasonable accommodation, consistent with the efficient operation of the unit, to accommodate such request. If such request cannot be granted, the employee may use his/her own vehicle and be reimbursed at the full rate in accordance with state fleet policies.

  • Additional Personal Leave Where paid personal leave credits are exhausted:

  • Coverage C – Personal Property We insure for direct physical loss to the property described in Coverage C caused by any of the following perils unless the loss is excluded in Section I – Exclusions.

  • Damage to Personal Property The Employer will provide reimbursement for reasonable repair or replacement of damages incurred to the employee's eyeglasses, contact lenses or other prosthesis, ripped uniforms, or personal clothing, as a result of being assaulted while performing his/her work. The employee must report the incident by the end of their shift. The employee will present her or his receipt to the Employer within seven (7) days after the event, unless it was impossible for her or him to do so during this period. The Employer will reimburse up to a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100) per incident except for eyeglasses, which shall have a maximum reimbursement of three hundred dollars ($300).

  • PERSONAL AND ACADEMIC FREEDOM A. The personal life of a teacher is not within the appropriate concern or attention of the Board except as it may directly affect the efficient performance of assigned functions during the workday.

  • Personal Grievance The personal grievance provisions in Part 11 of this Agreement are available to an employee who is aggrieved by any action of their employer taken under these provisions.

  • DEPENDENT PERSONAL SERVICES 1. Subject to the provisions of Articles 16, 18 and 19, salaries, wages and other similar remuneration derived by a resident of a Contracting State in respect of an employment shall be taxable only in that State unless the employment is exercised in the other Contracting State. If the employment is so exercised, such remuneration as is derived therefrom may be taxed in that other State.
