Common use of Benefit Amount Clause in Contracts

Benefit Amount. An employee’s supplemental parental leave benefit is calculated based on the employee’s accrued leave balances at the time of the birth, adoption, or xxxxxx-to- adopt placement (“qualifying event”). In cases of adoption or xxxxxx-to-adopt placement, leave must be taken within one year of the child’s birth or placement in the home. The employee will receive the equivalent of their full salary for up to a total of 12 weeks, when combined with the employee’s accrued leave (except for one week of sick leave and one week of vacation leave, or the equivalent for Benefit Time).
