Common use of Bridging to LTD Benefit Clause in Contracts

Bridging to LTD Benefit. If a regular employee has exhausted her sick leave entitlement and is to commence on Long Term Disability benefits approved by the Insurer, then she shall be entitled to receive a maximum of ten (10) additional paid sick leave days entitlement on a one- time basis, in order to accommodate any shortfall of entitlement that may have pre-existed to her qualifying for Long Term Disability.
