Career Increments. An employee who has not previously been 25 employed by the District in a certificated assignment who has five or 26 more years of previous teaching experience as defined in this 27 Appendix will be granted exactly five years of credit toward 28 attainment of the twenty, twenty-five, and thirty year career 29 increments. The maximum of five years of credit will be granted 30 regardless of which step the new employee has attained on the salary 31 schedule. In addition to the maximum credit, an employee who has 32 been previously employed by the District and who returns to a 33 certificated assignment in the District shall be granted credit toward 34 attainment of career increments only for those years of service 35 served previously in the employ of the District. 36

Career Increments a. A teacher who has a Master’s Degree Shall receive the negotiated amount added to his/her basic salary rate. A teacher who has a Doctorate degree shall receive the negotiated amount added to his/her salary rate. No Teacher shall receive recognition for more than one (1) advanced degree at any one time.

Career Increments. A career increment of 1% of the base salary will be granted to all employees with a BA+30 or more in their fifteenth (15th) year at the top step of the salary schedule and every year thereafter. A career increment of 1% of the base salary will be granted to all employees with a BA +10 in their 13th, 14th, and 15th year. A career increment of 1% of the base salary will be granted to all employees with a BA +20 in their 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th years at the top step of the salary schedule.
Career Increments. The career increment for employees who have had consecutive years of employment will be applied July 1st of the year in which an employee would have reached the year of consecutive employment in the District.
Career Increments. Full-time teachers who are beginning at least their 20th year of combined teaching service will be eligible for an annual career increment. A teacher must actually teach at least 110 days in a single school year for that year to count as a year of service for determining eligibility for a career increment. An approved leave of absence, including placement on unrequested leave, will not constitute a year of service for purposes of determining a teacher’s eligibility for a career increment. If a part-time teacher is eligible, the teacher shall receive a pro-rata career increment based on what their FTE is the year the career increment is paid. Career increments will be paid as part of the teacher’s regular salary payments. Example: Full-time teachers will have $3,000 added to the annual salary specified for their placement on the salary schedule at the start of their twentieth (20th) year of combined teaching service, rather than after they have completed their 20th year of service.
Career Increments. 1. Unit members assigned to classes C, D, or E of the Unit Members' Salary Schedule will be entitled to Career Increments, as reflected in the salary schedule.
Career Increments. 20.4.1 Upon prior written approval of the Site Administrator and verification by the Superintendent, each teacher will be entitled to a reimbursement of the negotiated amount per year for expenses undertaken to further his/her professional education in the amount not to exceed $325.00.
