Certificate of Competency Sample Clauses

A Certificate of Competency clause requires a party, typically a contractor or supplier, to provide formal proof that they possess the necessary qualifications, skills, or licenses to perform the work or supply the goods specified in the contract. This may involve submitting documentation such as professional certifications, business licenses, or evidence of past experience before work commences or as a condition for contract award. The core function of this clause is to ensure that only capable and qualified parties are engaged, thereby reducing the risk of substandard performance or non-compliance with regulatory requirements.
