Common use of Change Orders and Claims Clause in Contracts

Change Orders and Claims. The City of Xxxxx does not guarantee any specific work or any specific amount of work in relation to any part of this contract. Claims will be processed to cover work as work orders are issued by the Grants Manager or his designee and completed during the contract period. All change orders for additional payments or changes in the work such as: changes in materials, project design, or extra quantities, must be approved by the City before proceeding.

If the change order is at or more than 30% of the original contracted amount the change order will have to be approved by City Council.
