Civil Service Status a) A Cadet Senior who successfully completes the Modified Training Academy will be placed in the Civil Service classification of Police Officer and automatically becomes a full- fledged Civil Service employee and has full Civil Service protection, subject to successfully completing probation. Until completion of probation, each officer hired through this Modified Hiring Process is an at-will employee who may be discharged by the Chief of Police at any time, without right of appeal.
Civil Service Status. All professional employees are considered Unclassified Civil Service and, therefore, are not subject to rules and regulations of the Rensselaer County Civil Service Commission. However, the qualifications for, and the nature and scope of the duties and responsibilities, as stipulated by the College's Board of Trustees are filed with the Rensselaer County Civil Service Commission to comply with Section 35(i) of the Civil Service Law, and the State University of New York and can be obtained upon written request of the College's Records Access Officer (Vice President for Administration).
Civil Service Status. The parties wish to abolish Civil Service within the Police Department and agree as follows:
Civil Service Status. The Senior Police Officer classification has Civil Service status subject to the City’s Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
Civil Service Status. Civil Service status of Sheriff's Office employees will be in accordance with Local Law No. 4 of l984 as specified in Exhibit E.
Civil Service Status. On the Effective Date, each Medic will be transferred to the Fire Department and given the status of civil service employee under Chapter 143 subject to the terms of the Agreement and this Third Amendment without being required to take a competitive examination. Such persons shall for all intents and purposes be considered as being appointed in substantial compliance with Chapter 143 of the Texas Local Government Code.
Civil Service Status a) All PSEM law enforcement officers who successfully complete the modified cadet training program, as determined by the Chief, will be placed in the APD Civil Service rank of Police Officer, regardless of their previous position or rank in PSEM, and will thereafter be Civil Service employees, subject to the provisions of this Agreement.
Civil Service Status. An employee who is in his/her first six (6) months of employment with the Village (“probationary period”) as a transfer or a resignation reinstatement into the Village, or twelve (12) months otherwise, shall not be entitled to this procedure, unless approved by the Chief of Police. In the event the employee is serving in his/her probationary period, as set forth herein, and is approved by the Chief of Police for this procedure, that employee shall agree in writing to hold in abeyance the remainder of the probationary period until the employee returns to full duty. For employees who are serving in their probationary period, the Form Agreement annexed to this agreement as Form "2" shall apply which contains two (2) pages. Conditions for leave o f absence and continued tenure with the Village may vary depending on the civil service status of the employee; e.g., provisional; etc.
