Clearance Certificate Sample Clauses
A Clearance Certificate clause requires a party, typically a contractor or vendor, to obtain official confirmation from relevant tax or regulatory authorities that all required payments, such as taxes or fees, have been settled before final payment is released under a contract. In practice, this means the party must present documentation proving compliance with financial obligations, often as a condition for receiving the last installment or for contract closure. This clause ensures that the hiring party is protected from potential liability for unpaid taxes or other statutory dues, thereby reducing legal and financial risks associated with non-compliance.
