Collapsed Elementary Classroom Compensation. At the building principal’s discretion, a collapsed classroom could occur if a substitute teacher cannot be secured for a classroom teacher and students are dispersed to other classrooms for the day. Classroom teachers who receive the additional students for the day as a result of a collapsed classroom will be compensated at 50% of the current Certified Teacher Substitute daily rate of pay. Classroom teachers who receive additional students for a portion of the day will be compensated at the current Certified Teacher Substitute hourly rate of pay up to 50% of the current Certified Teacher Substitute daily rate of pay.
