Commercial Unit Clause Samples

The 'Commercial Unit' clause defines a group of goods that are treated as a single whole for the purposes of sale and contract performance. In practice, this means that certain items—such as a set of machinery, a batch of goods, or a system of components—cannot be divided without significantly diminishing their value or function. For example, a set of dining chairs sold as a unit would be considered a commercial unit, and a buyer cannot accept only part of the set without accepting the whole. This clause ensures that parties handle indivisible goods appropriately, preventing disputes over partial acceptance or delivery and maintaining the integrity of the transaction.
