The Student will comply with the reasonable instructions, policies, guidelines, and rules of the Host Organisation. If any difficulties arise during the placement, including concerns about health and safety, or the Student’s behaviour, these shall be raised by the Host Organisation as soon as possible with the University representative, the designated EASTBIO DTP representative. The University representative will initiate communication with the Student and Host Organisation Supervisor in order to monitor the Student’s attendance and placement progress. This may involve requesting visiting arrangements to be set in place to discuss and optimise the learning process surrounding the Internship. Within 3 months of ending the PIPS and before month 36 of the PhD, the Student agrees to complete and submit to the UKRI BBSRC an online Placement Report and inform the EASTBIO DTP Manager of doing so. The Student also agrees to provide feedback detailing their experiences of their Internship and indicate their commitment to present on this to further student cohorts at EASTBIO training events. The guidance from EASTBIO includes a clause about the student’s obligation to seek confirmation from the PIPS Host Organisation before any confidential information regarding the placement project can be shared publicly.
Communications and Reporting. The State Impact Center will not have a proprietary interest in the work product generated by the Legal Fellow during the fellowship. The State Impact Center will not be authorized to obtain confidential work product from the Legal Fellow unless the Legal Fellow has obtained prior authorization from the Legal Fellow’s supervisor at the PSC. The PSC acknowledges that NYU may be required to make filings or disclosures that reference the PSC, the Legal Fellow, or the Legal Fellowship Program, and that the PSC is not required to review or approve any such filings except where NYU requests such review or approval. Communications and Reporting. Any member of the Committee may submit suggested agenda items to the Chair for discussion during the next regular Committee meeting. All communications to the Committee shall be received by the Chair. All communications representing the Committee shall be sent under the signature of the Chair. The Secretariat resource will be responsible for preparing minutes of each meeting. Appointed members on the committee are responsible for reporting the business of the Committee to their respective boards. An annual report will be prepared by the Committee for distribution to stakeholders including the respective organizations, provincial and federal governments, and citizens at large. With respect to annual reporting and accountability back to the Committee members’ respective Boards and Leadership, the Committee further commits to organize at least one an annual meeting / planning session for attendance by elected leaders.
